Topics include living at a lighthouse, oral histories from the Great Lakes, and a Great Lakes journey through time with song.
Hillsdale Educational Publishers (1996). Computer Games on Michigan. [Electronic resource]. One computer disc and teacher’s guide. Teaches about Michigan history, famous Michigan people, and important cities in the state. (F566.C66 Circulating collection).

Soderberg, Marcia L. (1987). Teacher’s Guide to Michigan Week and the Sesquicentennial. Lansing, MI: Greater Michigan Foundation. A loose-leaf binder of activities to celebrate Michigan Week, including a test, answer key, and classroom activities. (F565.5.T4 Circulating collection).

Buried in Your Own Back Yard. (2000). Follows an archaeologist on a real archaeological dig located in central Michigan. Students will learn about the modern science of archaeology, how it is done, how material is analyzed, and what archaeology can tell us about people who lived in the distant past.
Grade Level: K to Gr. 12. Run time: 48:00 minutes.
US Geography: From Sea to Shining Sea: Midwest and Great Plains Region. (1996). Explores the Heartland region of the United States. Viewers learn about the importance of agriculture to this region’s growth and the contributions of manufacturing, mining, and commerce.
Grade Level: Gr. 4 to Gr. 7. Run time: 20.04 minutes. Includes teacher’s guide.

Links that are functioning provide information on landmarks, interviews of scholars and people that experienced the history being documented, a timeline of events from 1700 – 2000+, and links to related sites.
